A warm welcome to the Colosseum. Lizzie and Franco would like to take this opportunity to thank all our guests for dining with us and a special thank you to the regular customers who have dined over a period of time, as you are one of the reasons that the Colosseum is still going strong.

Franco founded the Colosseum in 2001. Franco originates from the south of Italy, his home town is Campagna, Salerno. This idyllic place is sandwiched between mountains. Many of the products used in the restaurant are directly from Campagna. Franco has been a professional Italian chef in Devon for 26 years. Lizzie joined the restaurant 7 years later.

Our aim is to provide you with an enjoyable and memorable dining experience.We are proud of our staff team, this includes our talented musicians. I think you will agree everyone will do their best to enhance your evening.

The Colosseum prides itself in using the finest ingredients, this includes free range organic eggs and chicken and freshly locally caught fish. Please feel free to ask where our products are sourced.

The Colosseum caters for private party bookings and special occasions, with an option of set menus and The Italian feast option, please ask for details.

On the last Sunday in the month we have a special brunch Sunday 11.30 to 14.00, an infusion of jazz/ Mediterranean music played by professional local musicians Dave Stephans, Paul Smail and Ian Loud.

There will be a special guest musician/artist every month which will accompany our musicians.

The menu will be a smaller menu for our brunch Sundays. It is advisable to book.
